GIANTS WIN SUPERBOWL XLII

WHAT A GAME - The New York Giants overcame all the odds to beat the undefeated Patriots 17-14.
No one really gave the Giants much of a chance but with an incredible defensive display and Eli Manning stepping up when it rally mattered the Giants defied everyones expectations.

The winning drive contained one of the greatest plays in Superbowl history with Eli avoiding what looked like a certain sack. He then lofted a pass to little used Wide Reciever David Tyree who made an impossible catch against the side of his helmet.

Quiet possibly the greatest game in superbowl history, certainly the biggest upset. It was fun to watch (especially with a group of Pats fans) and New York is sure to be partying for some time.

Holiday party in Philadelphia

We drove up to Philadelphia this weekend for a holiday party with some of Jill's friends. Good party with beer pong going in the basment and we even came away with a electric fondue set - nice.

Holiday Party

Yeah that's right it's a holiday party not a Christmas party, to be politically correct. After some Secret Santa type action we headed to Whiskey Town for a couple of drinks. We then moved on to "Tao" to see the Buddha and enjoy some fantastic food and a few more drinks. After that things got a little blurry.

Let it snow

This was the view from our window first thing this morning. It had all pretty much melted away by this evening, but there's supposed to be more on the way towards the end of the week.

New Apartment

So we moved into our new place in Forest Hills just about a month ago now and are finally pretty much sorted out. It's a nice big one bedroom on the second floor. We're right on the corner of Austin street which has just about evrything we could need, a dozen or so bars and resturants, shops, banks and 4 Subway lines all within a couple of blocks.

Knicks Win

Yep the Knicks actually managed to win one. They left it late after being down by around 14 at some points in the game. Made for an exciting finish though, and they finally beat the Bucks 91-88.

Thanksgiving

This year I got to experience a proper Thanks giving dinner with Jill's family. After some great food at "The Milleridge" we watched the traditional thanks giving football game.

New York Islanders

So for Thanks Giving eve we decided to go and see a hockey game. The first game I've ever been to, and thanks to Kristen we got to do it in style. Here's the view from our executive box.

Unfortunatley the Islanders lost, but there was free beer and hotdogs to make up for it. We also got to see a fight, which I'm told isn't as common as it once was.

New Campaign

We've just launched a new online campaign for Office Depot. It's called The SLOBs, which stands for Strange Little Office Beings. It's all about creatures made of office supplies that come alive at night and run riot around your office. You can create your own SLOB, challenge other people and even have the chance to win a holiday.
Check it out at "The SLOBs"

Halloween

As most of you probably know they take Halloween far more seriouslly out here. There's the big parade down 6th avenue and people in costumes everywhere you look. We also carved some pumpkins and went to a great
party at the weekend.

Beastie Boys Life In Brooklyn

The Beastie Boys played their first ever gig in Brooklyn at McCarren Park Pool. As ypu can see we got a place right near the front. It's a pretty cool venue - a disued outdoor swimming pool. As you can imagine, No Sleep 'til Brooklyn got quite a reception.
